Restore the Spleen Decoction (Gui Pi Tang)

Restore the Spleen Decoction, also known as Gui Pi Tang, is a traditional Chinese medicine formula that is used to tonify qi and blood. It is intended for individuals who have a deficiency of both spleen qi and heart blood, or for those who are experiencing chronic bleeding due to spleen deficiency.

This formula works by tonifying the spleen qi and nourishing the spleen, as well as benefiting and strengthening the blood. It is also used to nourish heart blood.

The tongue of an individual taking this formula may appear pale with a thin white coating, and their pulse may be frail and thin.

There are certain contraindications for this formula, such as excess internal heat or yin deficiency heat. It should not be taken in these cases.
