Expel or Destroy Parasites

Parasites can cause various symptoms such as intermittent abdominal pain, vomiting of bubbles, grinding of teeth at night, poor appetite, morbid hunger, love of strange foods, itch in the anus, ears, or nose, a withered and yellowish complexion, and puffiness all over the body. Such problems can be treated by a class of herbs according to the types of parasites involved.

The herbs to expel or destroy parasites should be administered on an empty stomach to produce stronger effects on the parasites. The patient taking such herbs should rest well and avoid greasy foods. After the parasites have been expelled, the patient should take some tonics (class 16) to facilitate early recovery.

This class of herbs should not be administered to pregnant women, young or weak patients, and patients with high fever or acute abdominal pain.
