As you continue to breathe deeply, I'd like you to imagine a warm, soothing wave of relaxation starting at your toes and slowly moving up through your feet, ankles, and calves.

This wave of relaxation moves higher, reaching your knees, thighs, and hips, releasing any tension it encounters along the way. Feel your muscles soften and loosen as the relaxation spreads through your body.

As the wave of relaxation moves into your abdomen and lower back, notice how the tension dissipates, leaving a feeling of warmth and comfort in its wake.

Now, allow this wave to gently rise through your chest and upper back, further loosening your muscles and bringing you deeper into a state of peace and tranquility.

Feel the relaxation spread through your shoulders and arms, all the way down to your fingertips. Your entire upper body is now enveloped in a calming, warm embrace.

Finally, let the wave of relaxation flow up through your neck and into your face, smoothing any lines of tension or worry from your brow and leaving a sense of lightness in its place.

You are now in a state of deep relaxation, open and receptive to the positive suggestions that will follow.

Deepening:

As you continue to relax, I'd like you to imagine yourself descending a staircase, each step taking you deeper into your subconscious mind. With each step you take, you become more receptive to the powerful affirmation, "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better."

As you descend the staircase, count backward from ten, feeling more relaxed and open with each step:

9 - Feeling more and more relaxed...
