Dyspnea
Dyspnea is a condition that involves difficulty or labored breathing. It can be a normal response to increased physical exertion, but it is considered pathological when it is out of proportion to the effort being undertaken or occurs without any exertion. Dyspnea can be caused by a variety of factors, including blockages or weakness in the Lungs or other organ systems. In Chinese medicine, dyspnea is typically seen as a failure of Lung qi to diffuse and descend, which can be caused by blockages or weakness in the Lungs or other organs. There are two main categories of dyspnea patterns: excess and deficiency, with excess patterns typically associated with blockages and deficiency patterns typically associated with weakness.
