Dryness

Dryness can be split into two kinds: internal dryness and external dryness. Both can make yin fluids get low. External dryness is one of the six things from the outside world that can make us not feel good.

External Dryness Signs If you have external dryness, you might have red eyes, a dry mouth and nose, chapped lips, rib pain, a dry cough, and hard poop.

Internal Dryness Signs Internal dryness often comes later in hot sicknesses. It can also happen if you throw up a lot, have too much sweat, lose too much blood, or use the wrong medicine. Signs of internal dryness include feeling really hot deep inside, feeling sad, chapped lips, a dry tongue, dry skin, and dry, brittle nails. These are signs that heat is messing with your yin.
