As I Forgive, So Am I Forgiven

Welcome to this hypnotherapy session. Today, we will explore the power of forgiveness, and how by forgiving others, we open ourselves up to receiving forgiveness in return. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down, and take a moment to relax.

Now, I want you to take a deep breath in... hold it for a few moments... and then exhale slowly. Allow your body to become more and more relaxed with each breath you take. As you continue to breathe, let your mind become calm and peaceful, ready to embark on this journey of forgiveness.

As your body continues to relax, I want you to imagine a beautiful, warm, golden light surrounding you. This light is filled with love, comfort, and safety. Feel it enveloping you, protecting you, and allowing you to go deeper and deeper into relaxation.

With each breath you take, allow this golden light to fill your body, starting from the top of your head, down through your shoulders, your chest, your arms, your hips, your legs, and all the way to the tips of your toes.

You are now in a deep state of relaxation, fully protected and safe, and open to exploring the power of forgiveness.

Forgiveness Journey:

Imagine now that you are standing in a serene, peaceful forest. The sun is shining gently through the trees, casting a warm and inviting glow on the soft moss-covered ground beneath your feet. As you walk through this forest, you feel a sense of peace and tranquility that you have never experienced before.

In the distance, you see a beautiful, crystal-clear stream. As you approach the stream, you notice that there is a small wooden bridge that crosses over it. This bridge represents your journey to forgiveness.

As you step onto the bridge, you become aware of any feelings of resentment, anger, or hurt that you may be holding onto. Take a moment to acknowledge these feelings, and then imagine yourself taking them out of your heart and placing them into the flowing water below.

As the stream carries these emotions away, you feel a sense of relief and release. You begin to understand that by holding onto these negative emotions, you have been holding yourself back from experiencing true peace and happiness.

Now, as you continue to walk across the bridge, you notice a figure standing on the other side. This person represents someone in your life whom you need to forgive. As you approach them, you see that they too are holding onto their own feelings of anger, resentment, or hurt.

With love and compassion in your heart, you reach out to this person, and together, you take their negative emotions and place them into the stream as well. As the water carries these emotions away, you feel a sense of connection and understanding between you and the person you have forgiven.

As you continue to walk across the bridge, you may encounter other people or situations that you need to forgive. With each person you encounter, take their negative emotions and place them into the stream, allowing the water to wash away all feelings of resentment and hurt.

As you reach the end of the bridge, you notice a beautiful, golden light shining down from the sky. This light represents the forgiveness that you are now able to receive from others, as well as the forgiveness you are able to give yourself.

Allow this golden light to fill your body, healing any remaining feelings of hurt or resentment that you may still be holding onto. As you bask in this warm, loving light, you feel a deep sense of peace, forgiveness, and love towards yourself and others.

It's now time to return to the present moment. Take a deep breath and feel the golden light that surrounds you

begin to recede, leaving behind a lasting sense of peace, love, and forgiveness within your heart.

As I count from one to five, you will gradually awaken from this deep state of relaxation, feeling refreshed and ready to carry the lessons of forgiveness with you in your everyday life.

  1. Slowly become aware of your surroundings, the room you're in, and the surface beneath you.
  2. Start to notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in and out, returning to your normal breathing rhythm.
  3. Begin to feel the sensations in your fingers and toes, as you gently wiggle them, reawakening your body.
  4. Feel the energy returning to your entire body, as you become more and more awake and alert.
  5. Open your eyes, fully awake and refreshed, ready to embrace forgiveness and compassion in your life.

Take a moment to sit or lie quietly, allowing yourself to fully absorb the experience of this hypnotherapy session. Remember that forgiveness is a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. By choosing to forgive others and yourself, you are opening the door to a deeper sense of peace, love, and understanding.

In the days, weeks, and months ahead, try to remind yourself of the journey you took today, and the power of forgiveness that you have discovered within yourself. Whenever you feel anger or resentment starting to build up, take a moment to breathe and remember the golden light, the bridge, and the stream. Use these images to help you release negative emotions and embrace the power of forgiveness.

Thank you for joining me in this hypnotherapy session. I wish you a life filled with love, forgiveness, and inner peace.
