Although I Grieve for What I Lost, I Know That a Greater Good Will Follow.


Begin by finding a comfortable position in which to sit or lie down. Allow yourself to relax, taking a few deep breaths in, and as you exhale, let go of any tension or stress. Feel your body become lighter and more at ease with each breath.

As you continue to breathe, focus on the sound of my voice. With each word, feel your body and mind drifting further into a deep state of relaxation. Allow your eyelids to become heavy and close your eyes if you haven't already.

Now, imagine yourself in a peaceful, serene environment. It could be a lush garden, a quiet beach, or a tranquil forest. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle breeze caressing your face. Hear the soothing sounds of nature all around you.


As you continue to breathe deeply, allow yourself to become more and more relaxed. Count down from 10 to 1 with each exhale, and as you do, imagine yourself sinking deeper and deeper into a state of total relaxation.

10... feel your body becoming heavier

9... sinking deeper into relaxation

8... your mind is becoming calm and quiet

7... deeper and deeper

6... letting go of any remaining tension

5... your body and mind are completely at ease

4... feeling peaceful and serene

3... almost there, fully relaxed

2... embracing the stillness within you

1... fully relaxed, open, and receptive


Now, in this deeply relaxed state, let us focus on the idea that although you grieve for what you have lost, you know that a greater good will follow. Repeat these affirmations silently or out loud, letting them sink deeply into your subconscious mind:

  • I acknowledge my grief and embrace my feelings.
  • I allow myself to experience my emotions fully and without judgment.
  • I release any guilt or shame associated with my grief.
  • I trust that my healing journey will bring about positive change and growth.
  • I am open to the greater good that will emerge from this experience.
  • I am grateful for the love, support, and strength that surrounds me.
  • I have faith in the resilience of my spirit.
  • I believe in my ability to overcome challenges and emerge stronger.
