Lungs

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the lung channel is one of the 12 main channels that run through the body. It is associated with the element of metal and is said to govern respiration, the skin, and the immune system. The lung channel begins at the tip of the thumb and runs along the arm, over the chest, and down to the lungs. Imbalances in the lung channel can manifest as respiratory issues, such as asthma or bronchitis, as well as skin problems, such as eczema or allergies. Acupuncture points along the lung channel can be used to help regulate the body's qi and restore balance to the lungs and immune system. Herbs and dietary adjustments may also be recommended to support the lung channel.
